June 14, 1957 – July 27, 2011
Sylvie Bouchard beloved wife of Don Campbell passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the age of 54 years.
Sylvie’s great passion was the company of friends, family and her dog Jenny. She was a kind and loving person who cared most about bringing happiness into the lives of others.
Sylvie’s great gift was the extraordinary ability to make an instant and sincere connection with people and bring out the very best in them. Even during a difficult illness she was always ready with a smile or little joke to brighten the day of the people around her.
Sylvie was born and raised in Chambly, PQ and after graduating from McGill University began a career at Canadian Pacific Railway.
After moving to Calgary in 1997 Sylvie sought a new outlet for her imagination and creativity and began a new career as an artist. Without doubt the greatest benefit of deciding to pick up a paintbrush was gaining the new friends in the arts and design community who bought such joy to her life.
Sylvie will be missed beyond words by Don, her brother and most special friend Luc Bouchard, Luc’s partner Kurtis Lesick, sister Michelle Bouchard, niece Natalie Quinn, nephew Sean Quinn, mother-in-law Ruth Campbell, sister-in-law Brenda Noel, brother-in-law Jim Campbell and countless friends.
Sylvie was predeceased by mother Huguette and father Gilbert.
A Celebration of Sylvie’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of floral tributes the family asks that you consider donating in Sylvie’s memory to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
