Booth, Marguerite Lillian (nee Hurst)

February 18, 1924 – October 1, 2012

Marguerite Booth passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the age of 88. Marguerite will be greatly missed for her compassion of others and joy for living. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1924, she worked for the City of Lethbridge and married Rex Clement Booth on July 31st, 1954. Marguerite will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Rex, of 58 years, daughter Maureen (Joseph) Weber and grandson Jameson of Calgary, Alberta, son Douglas (Gillian) Booth and granddaughters Heather, Jennifer, and Emily of Canmore, Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents William and Lillian Hurst and sisters Evelyn Gurr and Bernice Dunn.

A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, Section H on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Those wishing to attend, please meet at the cemetery gates. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember her.” Condolences may be forwarded through In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
