Mary Jane Blackmore (nee Mouland) passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 94 years.
Mary was born on January 14, 1914 in Bonavista, NL. She was a very active member of the Salvation Army community in Newfoundland, Ontario and Calgary. Mary Jane loved to sing, knit and bake. She had a big smile and was a very compassionate and loving person.
Mary Jane is survived by her children and their spouses, Gloria (Ken) Mercer of Calgary, Walwin (Joan) Blackmore of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Leonard (Joanne) Blackmore of London, ON and Janet (Brian) Friesen of Calgary; her grandchildren, James, Tim (Lynn), Pamela, Natalie, Stephanie, Kayla and Kimberley; her great-grandson Jeremy-James; her brother Chesley Mouland of Toronto, ON; and her sister Olive Legrow of Bauline, NL. She was predeceased by her husband Hector Blackmore; and two granddaughters, Cindy and Tracy Blackmore.
Funeral Services will be held at the Salvation Army Glenmore Temple (921 68th Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Cambridge, ON.
