Peter Allen Bender, beloved son of Mary and John Bender and brother of Joshua of Calgary, passed away in a logging accident on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the age of 26 years.
Peter was a great son and an awesome older brother. He loved working in the woods, hanging out with his buddies and building everything from fire pits to willow furniture. Peter used his carpentry skills to help innumerable people with their remodeling projects. He leaves behind a legacy of beautifully finished floors, log furniture, fireplaces, as well as the gorgeous willow furniture that he designed and sold with Uno Norrman. His fine work will be around for many years and he will be truly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Mary and John; a brother Joshua; maternal grandparents, George and Jenny Welsh; a paternal grandmother Mary Bozovic; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many good friends, and his beloved dog Sheila (AKA “Dog”).
