  4. Pat Wilson (nee Ashton) :

I was so sorry to read of Wendy’s death. I met her when we were both twelve and members of the same Girl Guide Company. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding and later, a Godmother to her son Jim. We often shared a good, long gabfest over the telephone and had many good laughs over the years. My deepest condolences to all the family. I think of her often.

Sending my deepest condolences to Jack. Along with his sons Jim, and Ken, and their families. I was deeply shocked and saddened when I read this today in the Herald, sorry I didn’t make it to the service for Wendy. Wendy and I spent many long hours at the hockey games when our sons played. We became very good friends and had many a long coffee break. We lost touch when our family moved out of Calgary. I will keep all my memories of Wendy as a treasure. I send my thoughts and prayers to you Jack, Jim, Ken and families ; and Pray our loving Lord will be with you at this sad, sad time and He will keep you in His loving arms of compassion and guide you as you go into the days ahead. I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Beauchamp’s passing. When I left 44th Street Jim and Ken were still pretty young but I remember them always having hockey sticks with them. May your wonderful memories, neighbours and the company of friends carry you through this tough and lonely time.
