It is with great sadness we announce our beautiful daughter, Cherokee ?Stoney Girl? Rose Bearspaw, was called home by the creator on Thursday, August 2, 2007 with her loving family by her bedside.
Cherokee was born February 3, 1987. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her mother Cita Potts; companion Boyce Fox, whom she was engaged to marry; father Derek (Flora) Bearspaw; brothers, Muskwa (Gabbie) Littlechild, Lucas Poucette and Darris Bearspaw; sisters; Misty Poucette and Gelaine Bearspaw; in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Lena) Fox and family, of Morley; grandmothers, Margaret Bearspaw, of Morley and Marie Power, of Hobbema, Marlene Onespot and Mable Powderface, of Morley; grandfathers Johnston Powderface, Fred (Beatrice) Powder, Gerald (Jennie) Clark; great-grandmothers Georgie Kaquitts, of Morely, Alberta; uncles, Delbert (Linda) Bearspaw, Farren Powderface and Toby Bearspaw, all of Morely; aunts, Angie (Rod) Crane, of Hobbema, Berva (Ronnie) Bearspaw, Cecelia Bearspaw, Rhonda (Hirren) Wildman and Geraldine Powderface, all of Morley, Sharon and Rosemary, of Eden Valley; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandfathers and grandmothers from Hobbema, Eden Valley, and Siksika, Alberta. She will also be greatly missed by her special niece Moesha.
Cherokee was predeceased by cousins, Brian Crane in 2000, Cheyenne Crane in 1997; uncle Bernard Bearspaw in 2005; and God mother Jean Aldrich in 2001.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Derek Bearspaw (Morley, AB) on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 and Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Funeral Services will be celebrated the Morley Gymnasium on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Jimmy John Cemetery (Morley, AB).
