Scotty Baynham of Calgary passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Scotty was born and raised near London, Ontario. Married to Isabel in Winnipeg in 1942, he moved to Calgary to raise his family and follow a career as a geologist with Texaco Exploration.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Shepherd, Wendy and Larry Findlay and Joyce and Dieter Bunge; eight grandchildren, Alex (Vance), Jade (Jason), Caitlin (Kevin), Myles, Melisa, Adam, Joe (Allison), and Jason (Karly); four great-grandchildren, Oscar, Aurora, Riorden, and Tegan. Scotty was predeceased by his wife Isabel and son Ralph.
Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge all his caregivers with special thanks to his primary caregiver Connie for her compassion, caring and friendship.
