  1. Bonny Wolsynuk :

I am so sorry for your loss, I will keep you in my prayers. I worked with Don for many years at Walmart. Don was such a kind man and very smart he also told some pretty funny stories, we were all sad when he retired from Walmart. We shared the same Birthday. The world has lost a very kind soul and he will be sorely missed.

  2. I too worked with Don Bassendale at Northland Walmart. While shopping in the store this a.m., a staff member told me the sad new of Don’s passing.

Don was a very sincere gentleman who’s ear you could always bend.
He was always so helpful and as a hardware associate I could rely on him for a sound second opinion, if not a helping hand.

He was “Jack of all Trades”. No job was too big or small for Don. You could find him:
    – with a paint brush in his hand.
    – being a carpenter with a hammer or a saw.
    – wiring an extension into the garden centre.
    – replacing a washer in a dripping faucet.
    – climbing up to the ceiling on the big ladder for a bulb change.
    – enjoying a hot coffee with his friendly Walmart Associates.

Yes, Don was truly an all-round handyman who loved helping folks.
He was indeed Manager Mike’s right hand man.

The time has come to bid adieu to a real great man.
We only knew him for a very short span.
May I join with Don’s many friends.
My heartfelt condolences I do sincerely send.

    Prayers and Blessings

From my family to yours….we are so very sorry for your loss Linda…Don was a very special man. Again I worked with Don for many years at WalMart…he was and still is and so are you…part of our WalMart family. He was well liked and we always joked around. When he retired there was a emptiness, that a part of our WM family had went on a holiday and never took us with him. When he came in to make a purchase…it was so wonderful to see him. He was always smiling…You…Linda… made him so happy. Mr B …you will be truely missed.
