Condolence Messages

  1. Shannon Wrigley :

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father Kim. I will always remember the fun we had camping with your dad and the rest of your family when we were younger. I am sure we drove him crazy with all our shenanigans as kids but he always put up with us. I loved how your dad never missed any of your dance recitals or competitions. I am happy he was able to be at your wedding and got to see your kids growing up. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I was sad to learn of Robert’s passing. He has a wonderful family who looked after him with loving kindness and compassion in his failing health which I am sure he appreciated very much. Now he is free of pain and discomfort and happily reunited with his family on the other side. Please accept Edward’s and my most deep and sincere sympathy to all his family. He will be missed. I was privileged to know him as a cousin. Our prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

  4. Tom & Kathy Marston :

Bob was my first partner after I joined the Calgary Police. We had many good times and he taught me a lot. Our love of horses kept us friends on and off the job, and it was through that mutual interest of horses that led to Bob helping me to meet my future wife. Rest in Peace.

  5. Mary-Lee and Paddy Anne Michael :

Mary-Lee and myself are thinking of you all as you grieve the passing of your Brother, Father and Grandfather. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of Robert. He taught me the box step in dancing, and while Mary-Lee, Kelly and Peter were scheming a pony, Robert and I were planning a rig. He would have been about 16. I remember him telling me we would only have to save $40,000.00 for our wonderful purchase which would afford us the “big” money and “travel galore”. I also remember all of his shenanigans with Pat. I always loved visiting him and playing the wild games we use to play as kids. He was a favourite cousin. Our prayers are with you.Love Paddy Anne and Mary-Lee

  8. Robert’s family and siblings, so sorry for the loss of Robert’s presence in your life. There is comfort in knowing that he has found peace and rest from his mortal frailties. Loving memories will keep him close to you. I have many fond memories of the Barton family and time spent at grandma and grandpa Barton’s farm in Taber and all the fun we cousins had there. I always remember the “love” and the strong sense of “family” in Uncle Jack’s family. It is a great legacy to pass down to children & grandchildren. Family is everything.
Richard and I send our deepest sympathy and our love and prayers are with you all.

  14. Dear Kelly, Gee and Family, what a handsome man he was. He was always the coolest older brother and I’ll never forget when he would take his kid sister and her starry-eyed friends for a ride in his convertible. Whoohoo!! Love and hugs, Nancy. Kelly, my Mom said to pass on her love and condolences as well.

  17. Sheila Redel :

I am so very sad to hear of Robert’s passing – far too soon. It seems like not so long ago that the Barton boys would arrive at the farm and turn things upside down. Robert was more often than not the ringleader for all kinds of exciting shenanigans. He shared a keen sense of humour with his Uncle George, who I remember was always proud that his nephew bore his middle name.
I wish I could be there to give you all a big hug, but know that I am thinking of all of you with much love.

    Sheila

I was so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. My condolences flow out to the many friends and family who I know will suffer from his absence. I know he will missed by many.

Ever since the Redel Reunion has ceased, I have been out of touch with so many of your family.

I loved having Robert as a cousin. He always had a great sense of humour. He had a great smile and passed that on to so many.
