Condolence Messages

  1. Rosanna D'Agnillo :

Greetings…5 years late…I’m a former student of Mr. Barbuto’s, and have just moved back to Calgary from Los Angeles; I was chatting with a friend about Mr. Barbuto, our beloved French teacher from junior high school, and a quick google search pulled up this page; we are so very sorry, and can’t tell you how much he meant to us, and what joie de vivre he brought to our lives, introducing us to French culture for the first time. I happened to become an opera singer, so Mr. Barbuto’s influence on my career was permanent & profound! Best regards to your family. Our most sincere condolences on the loss of this great, kind man.

  2. This is unpleasant surprise and many years after the fact. As with Rosana, Google brought me to this page. Aldo was a teacher of mine and a highlight of my Junior High education. Kind, smart and inquiring; he engendered a spirit of respect and learning in his class delivered in an avuncular, approachable style. So very rare. Though I was never a terrific student of French, what I know of it (and have used a few times) is due exclusively to him. His untimely passing must certainly be a loss to his family, to them I extend my sincere condolences.
