Catharina Margaretha Barbier beloved wife of Cornelis “Kees” Barbier of Calgary passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at the age of 87 years. Tini was born on May 6, 1921. Tini and her family emigrated from Holland to Canada in 1957 and she was always proud to call Calgary home. Mom enjoyed her home, her family and friends and playing cards. She and Kees were members of the “Schopen Negen” card club for over 40 years. Tini will be sadly missed by her children, Cornelius, John, Jerry, Anna and Elisabeth; her grandchildren, Johanne, Lance, Helena, Chris, Krista, Benjamin, Annette and Joshua; and her great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Zalia, Zander and Abigail; as well as step-children, step-grandchildren, in-laws; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers Cor and Leo; and sisters Gree and Dina of Holland. Tini was predeceased by her mother Anna, father Johannes and brothers Johannes, Cornelis, Hermann and Jacob.
