We sadly announce the passing of Rosina (Rose) Balsdon of Calgary on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
Rose was born in Calgary on August 5, 1914. Between 1952 and 1963, Rose lived in Penticton, BC, Kelowna, BC and Edmonton, AB. The remainder of her life was spent in her birth city, making her a true native Calgarian. Auntie Rose’s memory will be cherished by a large circle of relatives and friends, including her four-legged friends. We will miss the card games, phone calls, “Pot of Gold” chocolates, and of course the birthday cards that arrived faithfully the week before your “special day”. Rose was devoted to her loving husband, Clifford Balsdon, who predeceased her in 1984; she was also predeceased by her mother and father, Louisa “Ma” and Stephen Payne; her sister Winnifred “Winnie”; and her brothers Stephen and Albert Payne.
