BAISI, Mary Elizabeth

February 15, 1975 – Calgary, Alberta
September 7, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Mary Elizabeth (Bethie) Baisi on Thursday, September 7th, 2017 at the age of 42 years. Mary Beth passed away with her family by her side at the Foothills hospital on September 7th/2017. She suffered a long battle with liver disease, in part, due to a genetic abnormality.

Bethie is survived by her mother Mary Ann (Gil) Moore, father Les (Judy) Baisi and loving sister Bonnie Baisi. Mary Beth is also survived by many caring aunts and uncles. Great Uncle Tony Lefebre, Uncle Harry (Judy) Lefebre, Uncle Billy Lefebre, Auntie Patti Lefebre, Uncle Tony (Karen) Lefebre, Uncle Neil (Linda) Baisi, Uncle Lou (Sandi) Baisi, Kelly and Beejay Quinn. She has also left to mourn many cousins and grand cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Bill (Catherine-Pete) Lefebre and Frank and Maria Baisi.

Bethie also leaves behind her beloved dog and best friend Moki Moritmer III.

Mary Beth lived life to the fullest as she travelled the world. Bethie rode camels on the Giza Plateau in Egypt, back packed across Thailand, swam with the dolphins in Maui, white water rafted down the Nile, swam with the sharks in South Africa, sky dived in Calgary, bungee jumped in Corfu, camped out in the Serengeti Desert – the list goes on. She was charismatic, spunky, kind and intelligent. She left her mark on many people.

Mary Beth had a strong sense of humor which she expressed with her contagious laugh.

Will we miss her? – that, is an understatement. Will we forget her – Never!

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Friday, September 15th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. A reception and celebration of Bethie’s life will be held in the church hall. 2. Mary Ann, Gil, Les, Judy & Moki Mortimer III,
I only knew Mary Beth from volunteering at the stampede with her. Mary Beth brought a legion of her friends to help as Barn Safety Ambassadors. As you said she lived life to the fullest, charismatic, spunky, kind, intelligent, sense of humor and what a laugh. That describes her to a T, I can only add she gave back to her community. Mary Beth made a profound impact on me and my wife, Sylvia, in the few years we knew her.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
