With great sadness, Vince’s family announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, August 6, 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Vince is lovingly remembered by his wife Zorka; daughter Ana; step-son Jozo Kulis and his family; step-son Martin Kulis and his family; brother Marijan Bagaric; sister Mara Dodig and her family; and brother Frano Bagaric and his family. Vince was predeceased by his father Kreso Bagaric; mother Cvita Bagaric; sister Ana Simic; and brother Jozo Bagaric.
Vince was a proud Canadian who was born in Bukovica, Tomislav Grad, Bosnia Herzegovina and travelled broadly before immigrating to this country in 1966. He worked for over twenty five years as a skilled tradesman and made significant contributions to his church and the Croatian community in Calgary. He loved to read and maintained an avid interest in current events. Vince had a large heart and generous soul, and his infectious laughter and zest for life touched many people.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
