  3. I have very fond memories of happy times with Chris and his family. He was a good man who always made sure to ask me if the boys and I were doing alright. He always made us feel welcome in his home and we called him Grandpa.
You will be missed. Move forward on your journey, knowing you were loved by many.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. Bach’s passing. We lived next door to the “Bach’s” from 1968 to 1972 and they are in all of my fondest memories of 17th street. I was always so impressed with his voice because not only was it so wonderfully deep it always contained a laugh. It was the first time I can remember “hearing” a smile. In any lifetime we are blessed if we can find a handful of good friends and I know they were among my parents best friends. Even after we moved away (he helped my parents move and I can still remember him helping all day with furniture and driving all us kids including a 2 week old baby sister to our new home ) He was always so calm and dependable. A solid presence. He was a lovely man and I know how awfully sad you must be but I am confindent he is gone home and is back with Mrs Bach. God Bless.

  5. So sorry for your loss, Uncle Knud will be sadly missed by many. He was a kind and caring person with a gentle soul. He always cared and showed interest in our lives, family meant a lot to him. He was a mentor for me and I even followed in his career choice. I remember many conversations about Policing and the state of affairs at home, across Canada and internationally.
May he rest in peace. Much love Sharon, Clay & kids (Sach)

  6. Frank Mitchell :

I was a member of the Calgary Police Force when it absorbed the Montgomery and Bowness Police Departments in the 1960’s and I first met Chris when he joined our ranks. I worked with him on several occasions during those early years…… a fine man. He later became my neighbour (Chris, John Ogilvy, Norm Lund and I lived blocks from each other in Varsity Acres for a number of years). More recently I would often run into him during his shopping trips in Crowfoot when he was living in Arbour Lake. Whenever we met, he always took the time to chat and swap stories about the old times. My sympathies go out to his family. Frank Mitchell

  11. Ralph. Tim and family:
We just found out of Chris’ passing. With great sadness, we would like to offer our condolences to all of you. He and Verne, both were the most significant people we ever met in Canada. Both played a significant role in our lives, Patricia’s, mine, and daughter’s.

One thing is for sure: Both are in heaven, as they did what Jesus asked to all of us:
    Mt 25:31
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me.
37 “Then the righteous (Chris and Verne) will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in or needing clothes and clothe you?
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

It’s a real comfort to know that they are now enjoying the Glory of God, watching over us and interceding before the Lord for our needs.

    Ralph, Tim and family
