  2. To Cathy and Family,
I was saddened to read of Ian’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of our early Gulf days when we were all starting out together – especially curling, Gulf events and times with others at your home. Hard to believe it was in the 50’s and 60’s! Although I hadn’t seen you often in later years, it was always nice to run into you at the Farmer’s Market and other places to stop and reminisce. I know how close you always were as a family and Ian will be sadly missed in your family and friends’ circle. . I hope that the memories and love of family and friends will support you as you grieve and mourn his passing. I hope there is solace for all of you to know that others who knew Ian share in this loss. Please remember that “love is stronger than death” (Cynthia Bourgeau) and that “death ends a life but not a relationship” Morri Schwartz).
With Love and Blessings to you all,
    sincerely, Keith Fewster

  3. We were so sorry to hear about Ian, firstly about him being sick. When we saw him in August I hardly recognised him but he was his usual smiling upbeat self. He gave me a hug and said “sorry to hear about your Mom”. This coming from a man that was dying himself. I didn’t quite know what to say, but that was Ian.
My parents always had a bridge game story or two to tell.
I know my Dad will truly miss him as he has considered him one of his true dear friends and it has been hard on him. I am glad they got to watch the Grey Cup together. I am sure it meant as much to Ian as it did to Dad.
It has taken me a while to write this and I am sorry for that but I just didn’t know what to write. “Sorry for your loss” seemed so inadequate.
I am sure there will be alot of people that will miss his cheery presence.
The Grants (Lynn, Eddie and family)xx
