  3. NATIVE NORTH AMERICAN PRAYER

    Do not stand on my grave and weep
    I am not there, I do not sleep
    I am a thousand winds that blow;
    I am a thousand glints on the snow;
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
    I am the autumn’s gentle rain,
    When you awaken in the morning’s hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    Of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft stars that shine at night
    Do not stand on my grave and cry,
    I am not there, I did not die.

    Deepest Heartfelt Sympathy

    Mike

  5. Wallie, Patty, Cheryl, and Barry:

    I’ve missed going back to Calgary for two Christmas holidays now…but I do phone my brothers. We talked today by phone actually, and we talked about the old neighbourhood. Your parents came up of course. I’m sorry, we didn’t know about your Dad’s passing. Neither Clark or I knew. We’re so sorry.

    Your Mom and Dad were very special people to us all. We often talk about our times back in Elboya and what great friends we had there. And your Mom and Dad were so kind to Dad while he was alive. The neighbourhood is not as it used to be now and I actually haven’t returned there for many years.

    I want it to remain in my memories, forever unchanged from the way it was.
    Thank goodness for memories.

    I hope your Mom is OK. Please give her a hug for me. It’s so difficult as we see our parents grow old. We can only hope they don’t suffer.

    It will be a difficult Christmas for you…they always are for a long time after we lose those who are most important in our lives.

    Take care, and again, I’m so sorry about your Dad.

    Hugs to you all.
    Sue
