AUCHSTAETTER, Kristi

August 21, 1931 – July 20, 2012

Kristi Auchstaetter of Calgary passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the age of 80 years.

Kristi was born in Cabri, Saskatchewan, 2nd oldest of eleven children. She married Thomas Martin Titsing in 1951 and travelled extensively through Europe and Canada as Thomas was in the medical core with the Canadian Armed Forces.

While raising her seven children Kristi graduated from Mount Royal College after attaining her Registered Nursing Diploma in 1977 at the age of 46. She then enjoyed working at the Sarcee Auxilliary Hospital for 25 years.

Kristi mourned the loss of her husband Thomas after 29 years of marriage. She was fortunate enough to meet another wonderful man, Lincoln Auchstaetter, whom she married and they enjoyed more than 25 years together before he passed away. She was a member of the Centennial Legion and enjoyed providing baked goods etc. for their special events. Her hobbies included baseball, curling, knitting, reading, and scrabble. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed!

Kristi Irene is survived by seven children: Tom(Gail), Nancy(Bill), Raymond(Brenda), Randy(Donna), Penny(Mike), Doug(Heather), Kristal(Dave), and two stepchildren, Kim(George) and Korrie, as well as sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Kristi Irene was predeceased by both husbands as well as two grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
