  2. Rose Anne Karoly(nee Jutcovich) :

My sincerest condolences to the whole Armstrong family on the loss of this wonderful woman, Marg, but to me it was Margie.
Margie was the older sister that I never had ,
and was always the warmest and most soft spoken person I ever knew. She lived with us for a while in Calgary and I always looked up to her.
Her kindness and generosity was a trait she learned from her wonderful mom and dad, “Kressna and Kressnie” as I knew them. This wonderful family took in my parents , immigrants from war torn Europe, and almost adopted them. Margie and family, became our family.

I am so sorry that we lost touch over the years, but my memories of her will always be strong,
and she will always be remembered.

All my love to all the family and your family be spared further sorrow

    Rose Anne

  7. Suzanne (Wells) & Warren Romman :

    Dear Tannis and Family:
We were very sorry to hear about your mom. I did not know your mom very well, but I know that she loved the Lord and had a heart for people. She was very giving and soft hearted, helping anyone she could. For all of us who know Jesus, it is not good-bye when we leave this earth, it is see you later. I know that one day I will see my grandparents and loved ones that have already gone ahead. We wish all of you and your family, the peace that comes from knowing God, may this be a comfort to you all.

  8. My thoughts and prayers are with the Armstrong family during this difficult time.
I remember Marg as a very unassuming, gracious, soft spoken and caring lady. I always remember the hospitality she extended to me when I stayed overnight at her house 20 years ago.

    Yours truly,

  9. Connie & David Beamer :

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Armstrongs during this hardest of times. Connie and I have seen the wonderful kids plus some Grandkids Margaret and Val raised over the years. The whole world is a lesser place with her now going to be with our Lord. That said, Heaven has a great saint who we will all see again soon on some blessed day. Thank you for the phone call Pam, including us in your family’s mourning of your Mom and precious sister to us in Christ Jesus.

Our sincere sympathy to your family. We were friends many years ago in Shaughnessy. My parents were also friends of Margaret’s parents. Even though we did not communicate very often over the years as our lives went in different directions, our wonderful childhood memories last forever.

  12. Lindsay and Troy Anderson :

It was a beautiful, fall day today and I spent the afternoon on the walking path here in Taber. As I walked past the hospital your mom and grandmother Mary Piro came to mind and I realized that it had been a few years since we had received the annual Christmas card from ‘Canaveral Cresent.’ I added up the years and wondered if perhaps Margaret had passed away. Thirty years ago when we were first married my husband and I would volunteer at the Extended Care on Monday evenings and we met Mary Piro. We enjoyed visiting with her and continued to visit regularly after our children were born. Her sense of humour and personality were delightful! We met Margaret a few times and on one occasion were talking about our fridge that had finally given up. Margaret suggested we come to Calgary and pick up a fridge that she was trying to sell. That fridge is still running and used as a second fridge in our home 30 years later! We felt like we knew Tanis and loved hearing all the details of the arrival of the triplets. They must be grown now!

I thought it was kind of special to learn that Mary Piro passed away on my birthday. ( :

I hope the Armstrong children have felt much love and support as they have adjusted to life without their mom close by. She was very special.
