ARMSTRONG – Edward Albert (Ed)

May 7, 1922 – January 21, 2010

It is with love in our hearts that we say goodbye to our loving father, devoted husband and kind hearted friend, Edward Albert (Ed) Armstrong.

Ed passed away quietly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age of 87. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Edna; daughters, Karen (Richard Hawryluk) and Joanne (Brad Chaloner); grandsons, Shane and Derek; and sister Viola. Ed was predeceased by two sisters, Olive Good and Gladys Clarke. Ed’s honest and peaceful presence will be remembered by all who knew him. We can only hope to live up to his shining example of a life well lived, with never an unkind word for anyone.

A Private Family Graveside will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Ed’s honour may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.

In living memory of Edward Armstrong, a tree will be planted at Fletcher Park, Airdrie by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.
