The family of Helen Armitage of Calgary are sad to announce the peaceful passing of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt at the Rockyview Hospital on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Helen was predeceased, in 1994, by her husband Charles Alexander Armitage, former Mayor of Deux Montagnes, Quebec, her parents Major Norman & Elizabeth (McLean) MacKay, and her sisters Audrey (McArthur), Chrisy and Dora MacKay. She leaves to mourn, her son David (Helen) Armitage; daughter Jean (Albert) Deslauriers; grandchildren, Steven (Haley) Armitage, Tiffany Armitage, Anne- Marie, Peter, David and Brian Deslauriers; great-grandson Heath Armitage; and nephews Donald (Millie) McArthur and Peter (Sally) McArthur.
A Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Ed Lewis of Southwood United Church. The family also wishes to thank the Beverly Midnapore for their loving care of Helen during the last three years. Thank you also to the Doctors and nurses of Unit 74 at the Rockyview for their exceptional care of Helen during the past seven weeks.
