It is with great sadness and peaceful hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father, Fedele Arcuri, on Friday, November 7th, 2014.
Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy in 1934, Fedele immigrated to France in 1956 then settled in Calgary in 1963.
We are proud to celebrate Fedele’s (Frinoza) life and are forever thankful for his love, relentless courage, strength and sacrifices. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Fedele leaves behind his loving wife of sixty years, Teresa (Belcastro); and children, Giuseppe (Cathy) Arcuri, Marie Blanche (Paride) Gallo and Angeline Arcuri; five grandchildren, Francesco Jesse (Sandra) Gallo, Matthew (Tara) Kirk, Tessa Gallo, Candice (Terrence) Arcuri, and Fedele Arcuri; as well as six great-grandchildren, Paride Romeo Gallo, Maria Giovanna Gallo, Giuseppe Renato Gallo, Teresa Kirk, Marcellas Kirk, and Samantha Kirk. Fedele also leaves behind six siblings, Serafina, Giovanni, Angela, Gina, Saverio and Rosetta, along with many other relatives.
Fedele was predeceased by his Father, Giuseppe Arcuri and Mother, Maria Teresa Arcuri (Iaquinta), brother Benedeto in childhood, both his son Francesco and daughter Maria Giovanna in infancy.
Please join us, the family, to celebrate his life and to say farewell to a kind, compassionate and gentle soul, our Nonno Sozziza, at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, November 13, 2014 between 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
