  8. Colette Makinen :

My condolences to your entire family. I wrote this a few yrs ago perhaps it may help ion some small way.
Will you have time to say Goodbye.
Before the tears, They start to cry.
Some aged hearts they are so strong,
We wonder how they beat so long.
Will you know as you drift to sleep,
Come the morning hearts will weep.
Will you sense from those below,
The love they feel as up high you go.
The tears that fall, from love they come.
Questioning WHY your time is done.
Will you want to stop and share,
The memories you have of those who care.
Within their lives you held a space,
They know to well it cannot be replaced.
Will you worry as you’re on your way,
Knowing how much they wish you would stay.
They will wish to go back in time,
Perhaps to see if they missed some sign.
Will you send from high above,
The strength to cope, for those you love.
They will want one more day with you,
And all those things left meant to do.
Will you seek them in the night,
And make sure they know you are all right.
Feeling so shattered and torn apart,
Will they believe for you a new life starts.
Will they know your spirit lives on,
By sharing memories they keep it strong.
In time they may feel you near to their side,
As memories they share bring feelings of pride.
What is life but memories some good some bad.
May we be thankful for memories of you we each have.
