  4. Jacqueline Martin :

Dear Marg, Tasha, John-Paul and Ryan, How saddened I was to hear of Bernie’s passing. We had such a great visit just a few weeks ago at Luanne’s Memorial and I was looking forward to many more. Bernie was a great teaching colleague, scientist and friend. We had many memorable times together at Simon Fraser. I also greatly enjoyed the dinners you used to make for us during parent teacher interviews. Bernie was always proud of his family and I hope that the love he shared with you will help get you through this very difficult time. Sincerely, Jacqueline Martin

Uncle Bernie was a GREAT UNCLE and will be remembered for his giving nature, from the camping/fishing trips, the many visits to the farm, to the great gifts to us when we were growing up. Dear Marg and family,
So many memories came rushing into my thoughts when I read of Bernie’s passing! We all had such an awesome time, “growing up” together at Simon Fraser. I especially remember the pride he had as he brought the children to school and just recently we had a nice visit when I met Bernie and his grandson at the zoo. How quickly the years have passed and how precious are our memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
