It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Andre, beloved husband, father and son, was suddenly called home by our Creator on March 9, 2014 at the age of 37 years. He was the sixth generation of Chief Jacob Bearspaw.
Born in Banff, AB, he attended school in Exshaw, Morley and Cremona. Andre embraced and honored his cultural values and traditions. As a young man he enjoyed Pow Wow as a grass dancer. He was the drummer for his band Thunder Creek. He participated in rodeos and riding his horses. Andre’s first priority was to take care of his young family.
Andre is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Cornelia Amos; son, Deldan (Faith); daughter, Katie; loving parents, Dandy and Greta; four brothers, Ian (Lawanda), Padget (Alicia), Dan (Stephanie) and Eric Amos; five sisters, Renee, Jolie, Lorna (Barry), Aimee (Bradley), Laura; father-in-law, Delmar (Angie); mother-in-law, Martha Crawler; Uncles, Richard (Violet), Sam Paul; aunties, Adele, Anga (Carlos), Reatha, Wanda, Daisy, Caroline Amos, Eva LaBelle and special brother Eric Holloway. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Dick and Julia Amos; Grace Hunter; uncle, Murray and Hazel Hunter; Wilfred Amos; Betty Hunter; cousins, Bruce Hunter, Fred Amos; nephew, Brodus; grandmother, Libby Hunter; brother, Gregory Bull; sister, Florette Rabbit; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Elise Holloway. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Andre and Cornelia Amos (Morley, AB) on Thursday, March 13, 2014 and Friday March 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Morley, AB).
