ALSTON, William McLean

September 7, 1927 – January 25, 2012

William McLean Alston (Mac) passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 25, 2012 at the age of 84 after a valiant battle with many medical challenges.

He is survived by his beloved wife, friend and caregiver of 58 years Marg Alston; his children, Barb Perin and her fiancé Grant Brandon, Bill and Deborah Alston, Marguerite and Al Dadswell, and Liz and Kevin Blust; many wonderful grandchildren (Ryan, Justin, Amanda, Connor, Jessica, August and Emma); as well as his sister-in-law Patricia Alston. Mac was a dedicated Husband, Dad and friend to many. He had a passion for golf and in his youth excelled at both Baseball and Basketball. Mac was a respected banker for over forty years.
