Jos Johannes “George” Alles beloved husband of Ria of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the age of 66 years.
George married the love of his life Ria on December 20, 1974. He worked as a finishing carpenter and was self-employed as a general contractor. He spent numerous years working for the Calgary Stampede Board. He was affiliated with St. Mary’s Church and sang with their choir for eight years. He was a ballroom, Latin and country-western dance instructor for seventeen years. He took immense pride in his work and was a passionate perfectionist in everything he did. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, music, dancing, and learning about history. When he could, he loved to visit Penticton and Windermere, BC.
Besides his loving wife Ria, George is survived by his son Eric Alles; as well as numerous relatives in Holland, Canada and many other countries around the world.
