The family sadly announces the passing of Percy in his 84th year.

Percy was born in Saskatoon SK; grew up in Bowness; attended Olds College and played semi-professional hockey in the U.S. He resided in the Bearspaw area for 47 years and during his career was involved in the oil & gas industry, real estate and land development.

He loved his horses, hereford cattle, rodeos and the western way of life. He was the founder and first President of  the Canadian Senior Pro Rodeo Association, active in the Calgary Stampede as a volunteer and Associate Director, Vice President of the Canadian Oldtimers Rodeo Association, Director of the Canadian Rodeo Historical Association and a coordinator of the 1990 “Hooves of History” cattle drive.

He is survived by those who loved and cherished him; his loving wife June, who he was married to for 59 years, his children Gary (Heather), Rick (Susan), Lyn (Duane); his grandchildren Josh, Lee, Daniel (Joelle), Shawn, Carter, Reed; and great grandchildren Norah, Cole and Jakob.
