Lawrence “Larry” Kamke of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the age of 80 years.
Lawrence was born March 17, 1933 and grew up on the family farm in Manitoba. He moved to Alberta when he was in his early twenties. He married Norma Kell on June 26, 1971 in Calgary. He was a hard worker, who took little time for himself. Lawrence’s greatest joy was being an Opah to his grandchildren.
Lawrence is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Chris and Nicole Kamke and Dan Kamke, four grandchildren Sophia, Vivienne, Kaydon and Chelsie, a brother Ben Kamke as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Norma Kamke on July 29, 2012, his parents Ludwig and Emma Kamke as well seven siblings.
