Great seeing you a couple weeks ago at the Fish Creek Tree Dedication! You all did such a fantastic job – I know how exhausting it is, so I really want to thank everyone. Please pass my appreciation along. My friend and I chose to walk (except the last part back to the car), but there was hardly any line ups for transportation. The people at the tents were friendly and smiling, even though they must have been exhausted by saying the same things over and over. They took the time to say a few words to seemingly everyone – long after I would have been tired of people. Our bus driver back to the car made fun comments and kept stopping to let people on. This was at the end of the day, again, long after I would have lost my sense of humour. The woman at the tent with the videos choked up and got all teary, making me think she has also recently lost someone. It brought home that this isn’t just a job to all of you, that you really care; made me feel comforted. So, thank you!
