August 17, 1973– January 16, 2013

It is with profound sadness the family of Stephen James Daniels announce his sudden passing on January 16, 2013 at the age of 39 years.

Stephen loved life, his family and friends. His compassion, generosity and willingness to help others, his quick wit and sense of humor had everyone laughing, hardworking, dedicated, his enthusiasm for life and consistently placing the interests of others before himself will be an inspiration to all who knew this great man for many years to come.

Stephen was a true family man his passion and enjoyment for playing games “PS3/ Diablo” with his family, relaxing in the great outdoors,   enjoying fishing and the beauty of all wildlife, cars, hockey and his talent for being able to keep the peace but most importantly time spent with his family and friends was what he was proud of the most.

“He is and was a man of love”.

Left to mourn this huge loss is the love of his life his treasure and forever soul mate Leah Daniels; his five children whom he was so very proud of Aaron, Cody, Ally, Gary and Katie, his mother Dianne Daniels; and his sister Rita. Also cherishing the memory of this great man is numerous family members and a wide circle of friends.

Stephen was predeceased by his father Wayne Daniels.

Condolence Messages

  1. Nancy and Larry Carroll :

We live across the street from Dianne’s home and grew up with Stephen. We are sending our sincere sympathy to each and every one of you. Stephen was such a great person. I remember that I (Nancy) used to hang with him, Terry Hurshman and little John and we played allies, and climbed trees etc. He was always so laid back and happy each and every time that we seen him. He will be remembered by us for his sincerity and great smile. Take care and if there is anything we can do, please let us know. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. xoxoxo

We are very saddened to hear of Stephen’s passing. He was a good friend during his school years from junior high to vocational school. Stephen was a very pleasant young man who always brought laughter and joy into our home whenever he visited and although we haven’t seen him for a few years I can’t help but think that he would do the same if he were to walk into my kitchen today. Good Bless you all, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are very sorry to hear of Stephen’s passing. It has been a few years since we last saw Stepen but we will always remember him as one of the gang who hung around with our son, Terry. Stephen would drop by with the rest for a drink and cookies after they played tug of war with our dog, bike riding or just having fun. He was always very pleasant. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Still don’t want to believe that this is for real but the sad fact is that your beliefs can’t change real life. I wish that Stephen was still here to brighten the life of everyone who knew him as well as i did. He will be missed more than anyone can imagine. I will always remember the good time we had and am glad that I had the fortune to have met you and made the best friend I have ever had. I’m glad that you had the time to do the things in life that you wanted to do, even if not the duration that you might have wanted.

Best memories: “mom burns EVERYTHING” LOL sorry Dianne. Going to the arcade after payday in high school. Having Stephen show up at my Wedding, amazingly when he didn’t even know I was getting married. Being able to be there for Stephen when he was getting married, even if I totally dropped the ball on the “best man” speach. and the many more memories that are forever between two best friend and not to be shared with anyone else……….

Leah I’m so glad that you came into Stephen’s life and gave him the courage to make something of himself. You also showed him how to be the best for himself and for you as a family. He loved you more than he could of ever showed.

I love you man and will miss you every day for the rest of my life.

  15. I am so sorry for your loss , I went to school with Stephen , and I remember Stephen he was so funny , I remember that look he would get on his face when he was up to no good, we shared Many laughs. Years after High School we bump into each other again at the baseball field where he was base coaching for his sons team, and as we spoke he was still the same funny guy. RIP my friend and I hope and pray your wife Leah and your five beautiful children celebrate your life, and cherish their memories of you, in hopes they will get stronger in time ….. 16. It was with great sadness that I learned of Stephen’s passing last week. Although I hadn’t seen Stephen for close to sixteen years, he was one of my true childhood friends and I valued our time spent together and the resulting memories. I suppose I should have made more of an effort to keep in touch, but life certainly leads us in different directions at times. I was happy to read that Stephen’s “direction” led to the love of his life and a loving family, for which he was truly blessed. I offer my sincere condolences to Leah, their children, Ms. Daniels, and Rita.

I was just thinking last night about the first time I met Stephen, he was 15 roller skating, and he was pretty good! I grew up with Stephen. Stephen gave me a beautiful daughter and each and every day Kaitlynn is a true reminder of her father. Stephen was a good buddy to Katie and a good dad, a good friend to myself. Hugs for Katie, your dad is watching out for you. Also hugs for Diane and Rita and Family.
