Jason Lepke of Calgary passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the age of 27 years.
Jason was born in Calgary on March 8, 1980. He attended Ranchland Community School and Senator Patrick Burns Middle School graduating from Sir Winston Churchill High School in 1998. Jay’s passion in life was break dancing, teaching and inspiring young people in the Hip-Hop community. Recently, Jay started to work for Enmax, where he was about to begin his apprenticeship as a lineman. Jay was a gifted athlete especially in martial arts and most recently playing hockey with Enmax. He had a great sense of humour and loved to be with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Jason will be remembered by his father Percy; his sister Courtney Ayley; girlfriend Leanne Wong; several aunts, uncles and cousins in New York; as well as all his boys in Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother Hyacinth in 2003.

Stella Ronaghan beloved wife of Frank of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the age of 87 years.
Stella taught school in Bentley, Innisfail and Edmonton and later taught music and music theory in Calgary. In 1945, she married Frank and had sixty-two years of happy married life. She was an active member of Scarboro United Church. All Stella’s family and friends will sorrowfully miss her.
Besides her loving husband, Stella is also survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Cathy and daughter Dana of Edmonton, Murray and Nancy and their children Connor and Lachlan of Calgary;.

James Arthur Sibthorpe of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the age of 84 years.
Jim was born in Toronto, ON on April 17, 1923 where he resided until going to World War II; serving in Conn Smythe’s 30th Battery. Following the war he returned to Toronto and went to work at C.C.M. where he met the love of his life, Mary. They were married and moved to Calgary where they shared fifty-four wonderful years together until Mary’s passing in 2002. In 1957 Jim opened Bow Cycle and Motor Company Ltd. For the next fifty years, Jim’s passion and enthusiasm forged Bow Cycle into a Calgary Institution. In 1984 he was named Calgary Small Businessman of the Year by the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. Jim was a member of the Earl Grey Golf Club and had many wonderful friends that he met over the years of business and pleasure.
Jim is survived by his two sons and daughters in law Jim Jr and Charlene, Brian and Angela; his four grandchildren Ginger McManus (Mike), Joel Sibthorpe, Krista Bryden (Jared), and Kelly Bryden (Michelle); and great-grandchildren Shannon and Hailey McManus. He is also survived by his sister Marjorie Davidson as well as his sister-in-law Jennie Senior; his nephews Wayne Senior and Kevin Senior (Linda); and his special friend Joyce Taylor.

James Micheal William Rowsell beloved husband of Leah of Airdrie, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the age of 36 years.
James loved to spend time with his three sons. He enjoyed bowling, crib, playing pool with family and friends, fishing and playing golf. James completed his second year of his electrical apprenticeship, a career of which he loved.

Robyn Lee Lackey, formerly of Calgary, passed away suddenly at her home in Victoria, BC on Friday, August 24, 2007 at the age of 44 years.
Robyn was born December 8, 1962 in Calgary. She worked in the family restaurant business, Glenn’s Restaurant, until 1990 when she opened Glenn’s Jobsite Pub. Robyn moved to Victoria in 2005 to be close to the ocean. She loved sports, especially the Calgary Flames and enjoyed worshiping at Harvest Hills Alliance Church.
Robyn is survived by her daughters, Kristin Lackey-Gabriel and Kelsy Gabriel of Calgary; parents Glenn and Vi Lackey of Calgary; two brothers, Claire Lackey of Medicine Hat and Kelly Lackey of Calgary; sister Jacqueline (Frank) Troughton of Calgary; nephew Zachary Terlier and niece Courtney Lackey. She was predeceased by a niece, Tamerra Lackey.

Kristopher Ryan Kisko of Airdrie, passed away suddenly on August 22, 2007 at the age of 20 years.
Kristopher was a very active person; he loved to spend time outdoors, especially when it involved soccer or trail riding. He was very outgoing and friendly which led him to be a volunteer Fire Fighter in the town of Beiseker. Kristopher had a sincere love and passion for life in it’s self.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Crockett, of Calgary, on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the age of 84 years.
Jean was born in Conquest SK and attended Business College in Winnipeg, MB, later joining the R.C.A.F. She moved to Edmonton where she met Ken and started her family. Jean was a gracious host, wonderful mother and had a passion for participating in family events.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Ken Crockett; her two children, daughter and son-in-law Maureen and Stephen Orton and son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Sharon Crockett; her two sisters, Doris Gardner and Mabel (Jack) Stager; grandchildren Cameron and Brenna Crockett and Chris and Heather Orton. Jean was predeceased by her brother Phil Head.

Vivian Suchorab (nee Fisich/Ficych) of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the age of 93 years.
Vivian was born on April 27, 1914 (though records show May 10, 1914) on a farm near Wakaw, SK. There she met and married Peter Suchorab. Their first daughter, Melva Ruby (Hill) was born on March 1, 1938. In 1939, they moved to Toronto, ON to start a new life in the city. Their daughter Patricia Joyce was born April 1, 1941. Vivian was a homemaker and took pride in keeping her home and her Ukrainian heritage the centre of importance. This included sending her daughters to study the Ukrainian language and culture. Once the children had grown up , she got a “real” job at the Ministry of Health in Ontario and retired in 1979. In 1989, she moved to Calgary to live with Patricia. Vivian was an avid crossword and jigsaw puzzle solver and took great pride in showing off her completed jigsaw puzzles. At the age of 80 plus, Vivian ventured out to the Ukraine. Two trips in 1998 and 2000 resulted in finding many relatives. A great cook, she passed on many of her ethnic recipes that she recorded on video for her family to remember. Vivian had resided at the Beverley Centre Glenmore until her passing.
Vivian is survived by her daughter Patricia, her sisters Olga Wingerchuk, Catharine, Jean Bell and brother-in-law Bill Porter. She leaves behind her grandchildren Lauren, Jim (wife Rosemary) and Janice, and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Shelby, Dominic and Frances, and son-in-law, Victor Hill. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Judy, Joan, Debbie, Jackie, Tamara, David, Terry, Mike, Roger and all their families. She was predeceased by her parents Nickola and Mary (Sarchuk) Ficych, husband Peter, daughter Melva, sisters Sally, Anne Pylypchuk, Pauline Porter and brothers Bill and Morris. Vivian has specifically requested to acknowledge the love, caring and support her neighbours have extended to her and Patricia. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the caring staff at the Beverly Centre Glenmore. Vivian will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
