Giichiro “Butch” Hayashi passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, April, 2007 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Dorothy; daughters Debbi and Sandi (Bruno) of Montreal; grandsons Jordan Chase and Michael. He is also survived by his brother Yoshio(Marge) of Toronto, sisters Kimiko of Japan, Fujie (Isao) of Toronto and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Anne Madeline Malin (nee Whiting), beloved wife of Merle Malin, of Calgary passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the age of 85 years.
Anne was born on September 5, 1921 in Lloydminster, SK and married Merle in Lloydminster on April 7, 1947. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Edmonton, AB and then to Mannville, AB in 1952 where they raised their family. Upon Merle’s retirement they moved to Calgary. Anne’s biggest passions were playing cards, and bingo and she was the Flames number one fan. As the youngest of six children Anne left school to look after her mom. She was very devoted to her family and cared about everyone. She always loved a good laugh especially at family gatherings.
Besides her loving husband Merle, Anne is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Gerry and Kim Malin, of Calgary, AB, Ron and Liz Malin of Edmonton, AB and one daughter Sherrill Barker and her husband Murray Hart, of Edmonton; five grandchildren, Stacey (Scott) Davidson, Curt (and fiancé Michelle), Darren, Craig, and Shawna Malin; and two great-grandchildren Zachary and Danielle Davidson. She is also survived by her brother Tom Whiting; two sisters-in-law Mary Whiting, and Betty Whiting; as well as a large extended family.

Don Hiebert of Calgary was born on September 18, 1949 and died peacefully in his sleep on April 29, 2007 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Gail; his two daughters, Cora-Lynn and Christa; his son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Jennifer, his six grandchildren, Roddy, Braidie, Emily, Raena, Elijah and Madeline. Don will be lovingly remembered by his mother Victoria Hiebert; his mother-in-law Dorothy Baumgartner; his sister-in-law Annette and Bruce Kuntz; his four brothers-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Baumgartner; Steve and Lori Baumgartner; Darrell and Nina Baumgartner; and Stan Blustein; his nieces and nephews, Sheryl, Tanya (Mark), Tyler, Bryana, Nolan (Liz), Jenna, Whitney, Amy, Katie, Jenny, and Kelvin (Trina).
