Violet Marie Bucar, beloved wife of Randall Bucar of Calgary, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2005 at the age of 58 years.

Besides her loving husband, Violet is also survived by her son, Clayton Wayne; daughter and son-in-law Tamara Lynn and Joseph Pergar; grandchildren Cody James Bucar, Brittany Marie Lynne Bucar, Braeden Joseph Pergar. She is also survived by her sisters Ruth Harrison, Virginia McGillis; her brother Peter McGillis; her favourite sister-in-law Debora Lynn Bucar; as well as numerous other extended family. Violet was predeceased by her parents Jim and Annie McGillis; and her youngest sister Betty-Ann.

Our angel, our mother, our grandmother, Florence Irene Aquilini (nee Connor) of Calgary, passed away after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Friday, December 30, 2005.

Florence was born on February 5, 1928 in Hartney, MB. She worked at Forest Lawn High School Cafeteria for many years. Her family and home were her pride and joy. She enjoyed working in the yard and garden. Florence had a heart of gold and was always there for others in need. She would give a helping hand whenever called upon. Florence is survived by her children, Lorraine Aquilini (Dave Anderson), Dolores Aquilini both of Calgary, Gene (Martina) Aquilini of Langdon; grandchildren, Dario and Makenzie. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, daughter Pat, mother Helen and sister Helen.

Richard Norman of Calgary, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2005 at the age of 36 years.

Richard was born on November 11, 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland. He came to Calgary in 1975. Upon completing his education, he began working as an auto mechanic. He loved to work on cars, but life revolved around his children. Richard was a loving and supportive father, uncle, son, and friend. Richard is survived by his children, Justin, Dominique, Kayla and their mother Cherie; mother and father Nancy and Jim; uncle Billy Chisholm; sister Dianne and Squirrel Hodgins, sister Jackie Hughes; brother-in-law Mark Hughes; close friend Annette and George Livingstone and family; as well as best friend Kevin and Marla Moore, and several aunts, uncles, cousins in Canada and Scotland.

Tara Marie Jones, beloved wife (best buddy) of Rick Klassen of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the age of 41 years.

Tara was born February 28, 1964 in Poplar, Montana. Tara found her soul mate and love of her life in Rick. Her family was her passion. She was a loving and supportive daughter and sister and a doting aunt to her nephews who adored her. To her many friends she was fiercely protective and loyal. She left us at her most beautiful and happiest time of her life.

Besides husband Rick, she leaves her loving parents, Rod and Helen Jones of Calgary; sister Rana Jones (Carl Kelly) of Calgary; brother Justin Jones of Calgary; nephews Zachary and Noah Kelly as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout Canada and the U.S.

Marcel Joseph Tremblay, beloved husband of Mrs. Claudette Tremblay of Cochrane passed away on December 29, 2005 at the age of 64 years.

Besides his loving wife, Marcel is also survived by his children and their spouses, Brigitte and Terry Moore and Eric and Karen Tremblay; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Michelle, Elliott, Justine, Natalie, Ashley and Christopher. He is also survived by his sister Jaqueline and three brothers, Benoit, Rene and Jean-Pierre.

Douglas Stewart Bell of Calgary, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2005 at the age of 87 years.

Doug was born in Medicine Hat, AB on May 7, 1918. He served in the Second World War as a navigator in the RCAF. Doug returned to study Commerce at University of Alberta and Queen’s University. He received 2 gold medals at these universities for his proficiency. Doug loved music, was a good pianist and played by ear. He had a lively, dry wit and an infectious laugh.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Mary A. Gabrielson and son, John Bell, both of Calgary; two sisters, Aileen of Calgary and Hazel Mary of Surrey, BC; two nieces, Anne in Victoria, BC and Julie in Claresholm, AB; and by several cousins. He will be sadly missed by his dear friends Mary Brittan, and John Trimble and family. Doug is predeceased by his wife, Marge; his parents, Margaret (Stewart) Bell Richardson and Morley Leslie Bell.

She was witty, intelligent and artistic. She enjoyed playing cards and creating award winning quilts. Sylvia assisted in the creation of the Book of Remembrance. She was a lieutenant with the Canadian Navy (WREN) during WWII. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Anina Gundersen and Bruce Mitchell of Ottawa, daughter and son-in-law, Abby and Gene Paulson of Calgary, and son Christian Gundersen and Verna Lachance of Bath, ON; four grandchildren Jim, Adam, Vanessa and Zoe; two great-grandchildren Sarah and Anouk.
